Terms of service
These terms are an agreement between you and ShopShare (“ShopShare”, “we”). By creating a shop, or using a shop page hosted on ShopShare, you agree to them.
1. What ShopShare is
ShopShare lets sellers publish an online catalogue that buyers browse before messaging the seller on WhatsApp. ShopShare is not a party to any sale. We don't take orders or payments, and we don't deliver anything. The price, payment, delivery, returns and quality of every product are between the buyer and the seller.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract under Indian law.
- Give accurate details, keep your password private, and tell us if someone else gets into your account. You're responsible for what happens in it.
- One shop per account. A shop's address (yourname.shopshare.in) is on loan to you while your account is in good standing.
3. Seller responsibilities
If you run a shop, you're responsible for:
- Making sure your products, photos, prices and descriptions are accurate and that you have the right to use them.
- Following the law that applies to your business, including consumer protection, food safety (such as FSSAI registration), tax (including GST), and labelling rules.
- Honouring the orders you accept, and handling payment, delivery, refunds and complaints with your buyers.
- Getting your buyers' consent where the law requires it, including for any Meta Pixel or Google Analytics ID you add.
4. What you can't sell or do
- Anything illegal, including drugs, weapons, wildlife products, and prescription medicines.
- Counterfeit or replica goods, or anything that infringes someone's trademark or copyright.
- Pretending to be another business, person or brand, or using a shop address that suggests you are.
- Scams: taking payment without delivering, fake discounts, phishing, or collecting payment or bank details through your shop.
- Adult content, hate speech, or content that harms children.
- Interfering with ShopShare, such as sending spam, scraping, or trying to get around our security.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you upload. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, resize and display it to run and promote your shop, for as long as it's on ShopShare. If you believe content on ShopShare infringes your rights, email automatyaa@gmail.com with details and we'll look into it.
6. Moderation
We may remove content, or suspend or close a shop, if it breaks these terms, if we receive credible reports of fraud, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we'll tell you why. Buyers can report a shop from the link at the bottom of every shop page.
7. Free service and paid add-ons
Your shop on yourname.shopshare.in is free. Paid add-ons, such as connecting your own domain, done-for-you setup and ad management, are priced and agreed separately before you pay. We may set reasonable limits on the free service, such as the number of products, and we'll give notice before changing them.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep ShopShare running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or stop features, and will give reasonable notice of anything that significantly affects your shop.
9. Disclaimers and liability
ShopShare is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss arising from dealings between buyers and sellers, or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000 if you haven't paid us anything. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
10. Indemnity
If you run a shop, you agree to cover our reasonable costs if a claim is made against us because of your products, your content, or your breach of these terms or the law.
11. Ending your account
You can delete your account and shop at any time. We may close accounts that break these terms. Sections 5 (licence, until your content is removed), 9, 10 and 12 continue after closure.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction. Please contact us first; most problems can be sorted out quickly.
